My name is Alaina Malik, LMHC. I’m a trauma and attachment psychotherapist.
For the past decade, I have specialized in the psychological and relational patterns impacting high-striving entrepreneurs. My work focuses on the internal architecture that drives how entrepreneurs play, build, and connect.
Many of my clients are used to being the dependable one: the leader, the problem-solver, the provider. They're often perceived as self-assured and successful, while quietly carrying the weight of unspoken expectations, emotional fatigue, and the tension between personal desires, cultural obligations, and complex relational histories.
Together, we process the emotional toll of leading and performing, while working toward a sense of balance that feels authentic and sustainable. My therapeutic approach integrates attachment theory, trauma-informed sex therapy, and collectivistic frameworks to uncover the emotional patterns that shape intimacy, ambition, and legacy.
My work is grounded in cultural humility and shaped by a deep understanding of the emotional landscapes within Muslim, immigrant, South Asian, and third-culture experiences. While these communities hold a special place in my practice, therapy is a space I hold with care for anyone navigating complexity, ambition, and connection across cultures and identities.
